Meet your human device.
Understanding how it works might help
You are one of the very lucky, and have been given one for free. It’s not that others have to pay for theirs, but that they don’t get one at all. It’s probably the most sophisticated piece of technology in the valley. Most humans don’t fully appreciate the device they have, and that’s a gap that these articles would like to help address.
At present there are no plans for an automated humangee online device feedback program. But one is under consideration.
Over the next while we plan to ask some questions that may help us better understand the nature of the human device, the operating system, sub systems, applications and features, as well as some of the vulnerabilities that have appeared in recent years. We may even share some tips and tricks too.
The name we have given to the human device is humangee. (for details of the anagram, see www.humangee.net ) It is just like the device that we all have to live in and manage. It’s neither female nor male, no colour, no religion, country or race, just the essential core of you. The process and rationale to draw these parallels with the human device are based on an impartial distillation of practical observations, from philosophers, thought leaders, spiritual and other leaders over thousands of years up to today.
We’ll share the origins of the device and further background in the next article.
Research, observations and reflection by some great minds over years give a good starting point to describe a component model for how the mind works.
The focus in this set of overviews is from a technical-philosopher perspective. It’s not techie-technical, but enough that it may shrink the audience. This humangee is content to start with those who are open to a bit of technical jargon.
While we’ll provide some insights on the hardware, our main focus is to go into detail mostly about the software and internal application systems. That may help clarify how the software model for your device is built up, and provide some tips on how to understand it and how you can better manage it. The software is the part that is experienced in your head and determines how your applications are used, how your life is experienced, and ultimately your level of contentment. It may help you make some simple distinctions like the difference between your life and your life situation.
We’ll demonstrate that these are 2 different concepts.
The manual for the device (21st Century version) is currently in production. (Humangee 101)
The design principles which overview the principles on which the device operate will also be covered in some detail.
An integrated biological computer
You may already realise that your device has an integrated bioengineering design with multiple interconnected and interdependent systems with remote failover capability. This basically means that if one part is not working correctly, another component may be able to compensate, at least temporarily.
The humangee is based on a natural design, which is consistent with other animals and wider natural laws.
A key aspect of this is for most of the components to self-fix if allowed to do so, and within reason. It is an advanced AI (Artificial Intelligence) robotic device (so advanced it is real intelligence, but only when used correctly) capable of engaging in work, transportation, friendship, interaction, communication, enjoyment, and much, much more.
There have been numerous ongoing iterations of the hardware over many years, but the current specification is now seen as relatively standard.
The software likewise has been enhanced over time, weaknesses addressed, and modifications added to cater for new user requirements. Over the recent thousands of years, the humangee has accelerated in its capacity use its brain to think. Over the intervening period the brain volume, capacity and capability along with other aspects has expanded considerably.
The good news is that it is still built on its original tried and tested Natural World OS (Operating System) platform.
If we start with considering our humangee like getting a new vehicle. A special vehicle- machine-computer. The controls are in multiple places. Some are internal and some are external.
So, to start, the salesperson is nowhere to be found to tell us how it should work or what our version can do. There were no formal instructions either. There are many other humangee in the same boat. They have a device, and think they know what it’s for, but are not really sure. Most users spend many years tinkering with their device on the basis of trial and error. This is not a scientific or effective approach.
Most will ask their parents or elders, but just because the humangee that brought us into this world, have had their devices longer, does not mean that they truly understand them. Most do not. Age does not equate to wisdom.
Since you are old enough to read this, you probably realise that the device likes to go into a dormant mode at least once every 24 hours. A useful habit that your parents may have helped ensure is getting to sleep each day consistently. And doing this at a regular time is helpful too. It provides a form or reboot and reset regularly. A bit like turning off your PC, so that software problems don’t accumulate. The net result in theory is that you wake each day, fresh and renewed, ready for a new set of challenges and opportunities.
So, your exercise for today….consider what your other dormant mode states are? Do you really use them? Or do you just let your mind run incessantly?
Until next time…..
