While life may be serious, there are many aspects where it can be seen as a game. Humangee looks at some of these.

One that springs to mind is the perennial board game of snakes and ladders

In this simple version, its worth giving some thought to how any of these aspects feature in your life

How to play humangee Snakes and ladders

A dice and at least 2 players would be preferable :-)

The goal of the game

The objective is to be the first player to reach the end by moving across the board from square 1 to square 34 - Finish. You will travel the board from the Start square in the bottom left to the top right, moving from left to right and right to left across the board, following the numbers.

Commence playing

The first player to roll a 6 can enter the board. Each subsequent player must also throw a 6 to enter the board. The dice must be rolled again to show the number of squares that the player entering the board may move initially. Place the marker on the appropriate square.

Continue playing:

Roll the dice per player, and follow the squares as indicated on the number on the dice. When a player lands on a snake or a ladder, however, certain actions must be taken:

Snake: If a player lands at the tip of the snake’s head, his or her marker slides down to the square at the snake’s tail.

Ladder: If a player lands on a square that is at the base of a ladder, his or her marker moves to the square at the top of the ladder and continues from there.

Complete the game:

The first player to square 34 is the winner, but you must have the correct number on the dice to land on the 34 mark.
